Dr. Brandon McCammon, PT, DPT, ATC
Education
Originally from Cincinnati Ohio, Dr. McCammon graduated from Wilmington College (OH) with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. He went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ohio University in Athens, OH.
Prior to Force Physical Therapy
During his education at Ohio University, Dr. McCammon participated in several clinical experiences leading to a strong foundational knowledge and understanding in musculoskeletal/orthopedic, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and head injury/vestibular conditions. During his didactic semesters at Ohio University, he also served as the Certified Athletic Trainer for Meigs County High School near Athens, Ohio. This included daily handling on the field acute sports injuries, establishing return to play protocols and emergency action plans, providing emergency services, along with concussion care. Prior to his graduation, Dr. McCammon spent his final 16-week rotation at Force Physical Therapy in which he was ultimately hired as a full-time physical therapist.
Athletic Background
Dr. McCammon grew up playing soccer and ran cross country/track in High School. He also ran for Wilmington College Cross Country/T&F at the NCAA Division III level competing 3k, 5k, 8k, and steeplechase races/events. He still runs and plays various sports recreationally.
Areas of Interest
Dr. McCammon is passionate about all areas of sports and recreational fitness. During his education and experiences he developed a variety of skill sets. This includes evaluation/treatment of adolescent to professional athletes, neuroplasticity with ACL rehab, 2-D video analysis and treatment of the running athlete, bridge programming from rehab to return to sport, and vestibular rehabilitation. Dr. McCammon continues to grow and adapt his practice based on the most up to date research evidence to provide outstanding care for all of his patients DOT.
